Stability Analysis of Adaptive Control Systems with Event-triggered Try-once-discard Protocol

This paper addresses the stability analysis of adaptive control systems withthe try-once-discard protocol. At every sampling time, an event triggerevaluates errors between the current value and the last released value of eachmeasurement and determines whether to transmit the measurements and whichmeasurements to transmit, based on the try-once-discard protocol and givenlower and upper thresholds. For both gain-scheduling controllers and switchingcontrollers that are adaptive to the maximum error of the measurements, weobtain sufficient conditions for the closed-loop stability in terms of linearmatrix inequalities.
